Benefit Hootenanny for OPW - Portland - August 24
Benefit Singalong, Playalong & Silent Auction beginning at 6 p.m.
Oregon PeaceWorks has been working hard for decades to protect Oregon's environment, coordinate peace workers across the state, help with nonviolent resistance to nuclear testing, provide a first-rate peace paper to thousands, and serve local peace and justice groups all over the state. They get by on a lot of volunteering and a scant budget, more bang for the buck. Please come to Whitefeather Peace House and bring your cash or checkbook! Refreshments will be served.
Also: If you have great silent auction items to donate, please bring them too. Bring your voices and bring your instruments.
OPW Director Peter Bergel will lead a folk singing session with us all, featuring music for social change, and other musicians will join him. Maybe you! Kids invited!
Whitefeather House is at 3315 N Russet, Portland 97217 ~ on the 75 bus line ~ two blocks from the 35 bus line ~ 6 blocks from the 44 bus line, 8 blocks from the 4 or 6 bus lines, 1 mile west of the Lombard Yellow Line Max station. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.
