See a portable sawmill in action! Meet in the lobby of the gallery. Urban Lumber Company will demonstrate how a portable sawmill works by milling up a maple log from a tree removed here at BRING. Suitable for anyone, including children if accompanied by an adult, who’d like to see how a tree is turned into usable boards.

Brown Bag Lunch Talk - Noon
Bring your lunch. Eat and listen. Learn more about how Urban Lumber Company salvages and mills wood gleaned from the urban forest. Snacks and drinks are provided. Donations to cover the cost are welcome.

Urban Lumber Tour—1pm
Visit Urban Lumber’s shop in Springfield.
